Rafael Fiziev rips Justin Gaethje angling for future matchup: ‘He smokes plenty or he luxuriate in punches plenty’
Rafael Fiziev sees himself one fight far off from a title shot if he can safe past Rafael dos Anjos.
Fiziev (11-1 MMA, 5-1 UFC) takes on ragged lightweight champion dos Anjos in the well-known event of UFC Battle Evening on July 9. It’s a pivotal matchup he expects catapults him to the upper echelon of the division.
A clutch over dos Anjos (32-13 MMA, 20-11 UFC) would charge Fiziev’s sixth straight and the hanging specialist thinks a fight with ragged two-time title challenger Justin Gaethje (23-4 MMA, 6-4 UFC) makes sense for him after it.
“Yeah, if the entire lot goes applicable I peep one extra fight and fight for the belt rapidly,” Fiziev informed Submission Radio. “I peep maybe anyone, maybe Gaethje or Poirier after. Poirier’s going to 170, yeah? Possibly Gaethje subsequent one. We’ll peep. We’ll peep, but after this fight, if all goes smartly, I desire one extra fight and then a title shot.”
A fight with Gaethje looks to bask in added incentive for Fiziev, who’s irked by “The Highlight’s” recent feedback publish-losses. Gaethje is coming off a well-known-spherical submission loss to Charles Oliveira at UFC 274, falling immediate in his pursuit of gold for a 2nd time.
