Amy Schumer: I became ‘made fun of’ for calling Will Smith slap ‘traumatizing’

Amy Schumer claims she became trolled for calling Will Smith’s sail 2022 Oscars slap “traumatizing.”
“Other folks made fun of me for announcing that became traumatizing,” the “Existence After Beth” giant title, 40, acknowledged on SiriusXM’s “The Howard Stern Demonstrate” Wednesday (via E! Records).
She then clarified, “But I don’t think it became traumatizing for me. I hang it became traumatizing for all of us.”
On the opposite hand, Schumer previously wrote in a now-deleted Instagram post after Smith, 53, slapped Chris Rock on stage at the March 27 awards repeat, “Still prompted and traumatized.”
She added, “I bask in my splendid friend @chrisrock and think he handled it bask in a official. Stayed up there and gave an Oscar to his splendid friend @questlove and the entire component became so disturbing.”
The “Internal Amy Schumer” giant title then went on to verbalize at Las Vegas’ Mirage Theater as fragment of the Aces of Comedy sequence earlier this month, “It became impartial a f–king bummer. All I will advise is that it became if fact be told sad, and I hang it says so mighty about toxic masculinity.”
At some stage in the Academy Awards, Rock, 57, made a “G.I. Jane 2” joke in reference to Jada Pinkett Smith, who suffers from alopecia, having a shaved head, prompting Smith to stroll on stage and smack the comic.
Though it looks Schumer is now backtracking on her initial remarks a bit on Stern’s repeat, her Oscars co-host Wanda Sykes agreed with her first statement.
Sykes, 58, suggested Ellen DeGeneres after the giant title-studded ceremony that she, too, felt traumatized.
“I impartial felt so unpleasant for my splendid friend Chris,” the humorous acknowledged. “And it became sickening. … I bodily felt in awful health, and I’m composed a little bit traumatized by it.”
Since the incident, Smith has apologized to Rock and resigned from the Academy of Plod Image Arts and Sciences.
The Academy later launched that the “King Richard” giant title is banned from the entire group’s events for 10 years.
